New Bat Standard by USA Baseball in 2018
by posted 01/08/2018

Reminder that if your child will be playing at the AA level or below (Machine, Coach Pitch, and Tee Ball) it means they will NOT be required to purchase a new USA Baseball approved bat provided they have a sticker on an older bat. The sticker program was put in place by Little League and allows old bats to be used provided the league is using a softer baseball. If you are interested in purchasing one of these stickers for a bat here is the location.

New Bat Standard by USA Baseball in 2018
Beginning January 2018 there will be a new bat standard put in place by USA Baseball. Following the implementation of the new standard, only bats certified under USABat featuring USA Baseball’s mark will be authorized for play.
However, for Tee Ball, Coach Pitch, Machine Pitch levels, AA older model bats can still be used provided they have a USA baseball sticker on them. These stickers can be purchased at USABaseballShop.com and would allow the players at levels using low compression baseballs to continue to use those bats. All other levels ( AAA, Majors, and Juniors) will require a new bat that meets the new USA bat standards. If you have any questions regarding this new standard please contact someone on the board so we can answer your questions.
